INCIT-2025

Let's explore a challenge in solar energy: photovoltaic (PV) panel defects. We're learning these defects reduce energy generation and increase costs. In Thailand, manual inspections miss 20% of defects, costing over $433,000 USD/MW annually. A proposed Cascade Mask R-CNN system, trained on thermal images and utilizing drones, aims to reduce inspection time from 11 hours to 90 minutes. This innovation could prevent up to $2 million USD in annual losses for a 5MW solar farm, supporting global solar scalability by cutting costs and downtime.

EECON-45 (2022)

Let's explore how NFTs are evolving beyond digital, aiming to seamlessly link with physical assets. We're learning about current limitations, like connecting digital ownership to real-world items and verifying ownership. This leads us to a new NFT design that uses NFC tags for "Walletless identification, " making physical-digital ownership easier and more relevant.
